Friday Open League

Season Format​
The season format is based on 22 teams registered. There will be 2 divisions "A" and B" with 12 teams in A division and 10 teams in B division . We will play a 10 game schedule to start the season.
Each Division will play a full 10 games. Following the first go-around, teams will be reseeded and play another set of 5-games splitting into 4 divisions, A,B,C and D.

To start the season, teams were ranked by Aggregate Points earned in the previous season, with new teams starting in division “B”.
There are two draws each night starting at 6:50 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Point Scoring Format
The following point scoring format for each win, tie and loss is in effect:

Divisional games (2 rounds x5 games)

*A team that forfeits a game will not receive any points*
Five Rock Rule in Effect
We are playing the five-rock rule in the free guard zone. Under the five-Rock rule, teams are not permitted to eliminate their opponent’s rocks that are sitting in the free guard zone until five stones have been played in each end.

Buzzer Rule
The Buzzer will sound at 8:40 and 10:50 for our Friday night league. When the buzzer sounds teams may only complete the end in progress. Unless the Last (16th) stone has crossed the nearer hog line. In this case an additional end may be played.
