Our Facility Overview
Welcome to the North Hill Curling Club located in Crescent Heights, overlooking downtown Calgary (Two blocks west of Centre Street N at the corner of 11th Avenue & 2nd Street NW). We are the “friendliest club in town”! Our season runs from mid-September through to early April. We are one of the busiest clubs in Calgary; but we are always looking to get you curling!
We have six curling sheets available for rent be it league play, practice or corporate outings.
Our staff works hard in providing quality conditions for all levels of curling. You can help us by cleaning your shoes upon entry and by bringing in proper clothing and foot-wear to use on our ice surface.
Our parking area can handle about 60 vehicles. Due to the number using our facility during the day, we cannot allow daytime parking for anyone playing later in the day. In the evening there is street parking and the Crescent Heights High School lot is available for use. Please respect local residential signage.
Our lounge area provides one of the best viewing areas for curling; which is enhanced with the addition of monitors capable of viewing both ends of the ice (or, digital television). During routine operation, our lounge seats 64 to 130.
The Club has a cafeteria providing a variety of menu choices, soup & sandwiches, baked goods and “specials” every evening.
Our leagues and corporate guests can also enjoy our Food Services to cap off their season or day of curling. Banquets are typically held in our lounge area. During the day, our lounge is not normally occupied, so meetings or presentations can be accommodated.
Our board room is located upstairs and is a separate room from the lounge. It can seat about 18 comfortably.
