We have both women’s, men’s and combination leagues most days of the week. They are all quite prepared to accept new curlers. The leagues are listed below along with contact information. If you wish, you can contact the Club directly and we will pass your information to the relevant contact for the league. 

Ladies’ Leagues

  • HILLTOP – Monday @ 8:50 am; Wed @ 1:15 pm

This league began at the North Hill in 1979 and continues today. You can choose to curl one day or both.  A number of the participants are still working and schedule curling around their work schedule; others are retired. Contact Clarice, 403-295-7424 or Diane 403-239-3056

  • FOOTHILL – Tuesday @ 8:50 am

Most form their own teams; but new curlers can join as well. A clinic is held each fall. All age-groups are represented.

  • FOOTHILL – Wednesday @ 8:50 am

This league is associated with the Tuesday group; but play a more relaxed format (points not score). Teams are drawn in the fall. Beginners are definitely welcome.  Contact Chris, 403-274-1296

  • NORTH Hill – Monday @ 1:15 pm

This league has been playing since the club’s inception. It is a non-competitive league. All skill levels and ages are welcomed, as are “stick” players. Skips draw for players twice a season..  Contact Marilyn, 403-286-0122

Senior Leagues for Men and Women

  • SUPER 60s Men’s – Monday & Wednesday @ 11:05

This league consists of teams playing both Monday and Wednesday for the season.  Individual players are welcomed and an active spares list is maintained through a spare coordinator. Contact Lloyd Godfrey, 403-288-7249

  • NORTH HILL 60s – Tuesday & Thursday @ 11:05

This league consists of teams playing both Tuesday and Thursday for the season.  Players are age 60 or older although some “under-age” players will be accepted.  Individual players are welcomed and an active spares list is maintained through a spare coordinator.  This league is currently accepting Women’s teams.   • FRIDAY MASTERS – Friday @ 12:30

This is a competitive masters’ age league (age 60+).  Play begins following Thanksgiving and continues until the SACA Masters Playdowns begin (late January). Contact Dave Peers, 403-288-3126

Other Leagues

  • ESSO Annuitant – Tuesday @ 1:30

This league is primarily populated by ESSO retirees; although others are welcomed. Contact Dennis Heacock, dwheacock@shaw.ca

 

 

 

Announcements

  • Playoff Election Forms due Feb. 22nd.

    The NHCC Playoffs will take place March 6th – 26th.

    Chose one of the following playoff groups: Men’s, Women’s, Open, Mixed, Sr. Men’s, Sr. Women’s or Best of the Rest. All teams must submit a Playoff Election form to the club office by Feb. 22nd. For more details click Leagues tab, then click Club Playoffs.

    ****If your team does not complete a form, it will not be entered into the playoffs.****

  • Five-Rock Rule is in effect this season!

    We are now playing with the 5 rock rule in the FGZ as per Curling Canada rules in effect starting this season.  Under the 5-Rock rule, teams are not permitted to eliminate their opponent's rocks that are sitting in the free guard zone until five stones have been played in every end.  Players can still hit the guards; they just are not allowed to knock them out of play.
