Junior Program
The North Hill Curling Club’s Junior Program runs Fridays
starting at 4:30 pm during the regular curling season. The age range for this program is 7 through 20 with
instruction for both Lite and Regular rock curlers. Application
can be submitted at any time. The North Hill Curling Club staff from the ice makers
through to club management, are strong supporters of the juniors and strive to encourage them every chance they
get.
The NHCC Junior Program is run by dedicated
volunteers many of which have strong ties in the curling community. Their passion for the sport is shown weekly as
they support and encourage the junior curlers to be the best that they can be, both in their curling skills and
etiquette. The emphasis is on having fun and learning the basics to preserve that which makes curling the sport
that it is.
The younger curlers with little to no experience, are provided with
instruction throughout the season. Depending upon numbers, the little rockers may be assigned to either a
4:30-5:30 or a 5:30 - 6:30 time slot.
The more seasoned junior curlers who throw regular rocks, are
initially instructed and then curl in a 2 hour span (4:30 to 6:30). Instruction and mentoring continues
through the season; however, mostly the juniors are permitted to play.
