The North Hill Curling Club has operated in Calgary since 1927 and caters to curlers (shareholders and the Public) from all over Calgary. Our business is solely as a curling club which operates from late September through to early April. Most of our users are involved in league play; although we also handle individual, family, social groups and Corporate events as our ice availability permits.

The North Hill Community Curling Club is a not for profit entity governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Daily Operations are managed by paid staff.  The Club provides ice for its patrons, augmented by a cafeteria, lounge and the ability to provide curling lessons.

We have membership categories; which permit members of the public to curl at our facility. Our lease with the City require us to have at least 50% "public" play and we are well above that.

A shareholder is someone who has filed a shareholder application to the Club which has been approved by the Board of Directors. Cost currently is $200 ($100 for the redeemable share & $100 initiation fee which is not redeemable)). A social fee of $25 is due should the shareholder not curl in an evening league during a season.

A Shareholder in return receives certain privileges: vote at general meetings, serving on Club Board of Directors, reduced dues for evening leagues and, an elevated priority for inclusion in the evening leagues.

While fee reduction will be honoured for all new shareholders approved prior to December 1 of the then current season; priority for league inclusion will only be recognized by those applications approved the previous fiscal years.
